Put the assets you already own to work.

Backup generators, batteries and flexible electricity use can all earn from demand response programs. Effiqor assesses what your site qualifies for and coordinates the rest.

Built around your facility. Matched to eligible programs.

Ways to participate

The route depends on what your site already has. Each one is assessed against the programs available in your territory.

From assessment to participation

  1. 01

    Understand your site

We gather usage, assets and operating limits.

  2. 02

    Review your options

See which programs the site is eligible for.

  3. 03

    Get enrolled

We coordinate enrollment with the provider.

  4. 04

    Participate and earn

Respond to events and track what you earned.

Effiqor coordinates the journey with demand response providers. Eligibility and earnings depend on your location, assets and program.

Earning mechanisms

Demand response is not one payment

A site can earn through several mechanisms at once, and they behave differently. Three of them pay you. The fourth lowers your own bill.

Peak without participationManaged peak

Capacity

Paid to be available when the grid is short.

Energy

Paid to reduce when prices run high.

Ancillary services

Paid to respond fast as supply shifts.

Demand charge

A saving on your own bill, not a payment.

Illustrative. Which mechanisms apply, and what they are worth, depends on your market and what your site can reliably offer.

We stay involved as your operations and program options change.

Your questions, answered

Can my facility participate?

Often, if the site has something it can reduce, shift or supply for a defined period: solar, batteries, generators, production schedules or building loads. Whether it qualifies depends on your location, the programs available there, and how much flexibility the site can reliably offer. The site assessment is how we find out.

Will this affect how we operate?

Only within limits you set. We start from your operating constraints, and a program is only worth joining if the site can respond without compromising safety, critical processes or comfort. Some programs let you sit out individual events and others expect a response every time; we explain which before you enroll.

How are earnings determined?

By the program and the market. A site can be paid for being available, for the energy it reduces during events, or for responding fast, and it can also save on its own demand charges. What yours is worth depends on how much load it can reliably change and for how long. We estimate it during the assessment, once we have seen the site.

What happens during an event?

The provider notifies you of a requested period, with notice that varies by program. The site then reduces or shifts load, or runs its battery or generator, following the plan agreed at enrollment. Afterwards, performance is measured against the site’s usual consumption to work out what it earned.
